Typical mid range buffet. They have everything one would want. Some foods were mushy and cold from setting out a while. The more popular choices were hot and fresh. Salads were plentiful with a good choice of greens and goodies to throw on top. Staff was friendly and kept our table clean between runs up to the food. It is what it is, a $7 buffet for lunch. Plenty to eat and mostly not bad.

As always this location is very busy! Trying to find a seat at dinner can be a little difficult. But it's worth the wait. There is a huge selection from salad items to pot roast (delicious) fried chicken, mashes potatoes, shrimp and steak. Not to mention a full dessert bar with ice cream, chocolate fountain and cotton candy. If you have kids or a big party this is a great place for dinner. Don't forget to bring some yeast rolls home for breakfast!

Long drive, it's a beautiful morning, just pulling into Myrtle Beach for a week-long vacation. Our friends headed over to Shoney's, we decide on Golden Corral, somewhat as a joke, but mostly because we were both starving. The line is long, so we're completely stoked with anticipation when we meet the cashier fifteen minutes later. They ask me what i'd like to drink, I say OJ, they say grab it at the buffet. Sweet! Free juice. Can't remember how much it all came to, but it wasn't much, which was good. My first plate is fried chicken, crab meat, scrambled eggs and salsa. The next followed suit with bananas, chipped beef, biscuits, country gravy and pancakes. All I know is that there was a lot to choose from and it was all greasy, dry, or terrible for you (except maybe the crab; I mean there was a massive porcelain bathtub of crab meat filled to overflowing for some unknown reason). Everything is relatively fresh, but with little kids dipping their fingers into things, old women leaning over the sneeze guards about to die, some guy with a bandana always cussing about the biscuits, and the overall atmosphere of working class despair/obesity, I just kept imagining that this is what Sunday meals are like in purgatory. As I walked past the salad bar (which no one was partaking in), I could smell a mixture of ammonia and garbage from where metal pieces of equipment were being washed in large sinks towards the back corner. Sure, I was full when I left. But, I ask you, AT WHAT COST? Hours later I was regretting the whole thing. This place is exactly what it is. A slightly dirty, massive buffet that deals out a whole lot of bland comfort food and calories. A place that makes senile grandmothers and fat little kids happy. Try the crab! (i apologize for the constant tense changes in my review)

All American comfort food. Some food kinda greasy. Service was very attentive. Over all not bad.

It was ok but I have had much better at other Golden Corrals...the service was prompt...the steak ok and meatloaf no flavor at all...sides were ok...dessert was good...I guess for the price it was ok...but nothing special.

Four stars for Golden Corral, you ask? Yes, if you want a fabulous, fresh salad bar with so much variety, and a wonderful selection in meats, veggies, and desserts, this is the place! There's something for everyone and it's all really pretty good, especially when you consider the price. It can be crowded but the associates work hard to get you in, seated and fed. My grand kids LOVE this place! I like it for them because I know they will eat healthy here as they can always find meat and veggies they like (before they hit the fabulous soft-serve ice cream bar). One recommendation for GC team: you would save so much money if you would train your grill master to properly identify well-done steaks from rare--we just can't eat well done ones and it goes to waste (when I asked for med-rare). Happens all the time! Thanks!

This place was not bad but yes obviously approach with caution. We are all there for plentiful cheap food. In MB there are three options: 1. extravagant dinner show(hey cant do those every night!) 2. calabash 3. buffets (Ryans, golden corral, china buffet etc.)

The food was typical buffet-style wanna-be comfort food. Some of it was okay, some was absolutely disgusting. I got all excited about the chocolate fountain until I saw a couple of kids sticking their fingers in it, licking them, then repeating. Guess will skip the chocolate this time. Beef tips had a very nasty taste to them that didn't belong there. Pot roast wasn't bad as long as you put a little gravy on it. Still wondering when they quit serving steak. I think the thing that bothered me the most was that when the waitress picked up my plate with the uneaten beef tips, she asked what was wrong, and when I asked if she had ever tried them, she proceded to give us a story about how she never ate the food there because it wasn't healthy. Then she felt the need to come back every five minutes and give us another recipe for a healthy smoothie that had spinich or some other greens in it, and tell us how much healthier it was that what we had on our plates. Didn't do a lot to help our confidence in the food we were eating. The lemonade was awesome.

Pretty good food thats inexpensive. Salad bar is good. Meats, vegs, and desserts are good and the all you can eat guarantees you leave full.

Typical buffet. Service was lacking but the food was warm and somewhat tasty. The BBQ chicken was good, and the steak was its typical golden corral tough. Cheapest buffet at the beach though, with better than average food.
